Second of Three 2.5 hour courses will give you the foundation to start beekeeping. From determining the type of hive, to placement, rules, installation, inspections, treatment, harvesting and overwintering, you will learn what to expect and how to deepen your new relationship with bees. Course focuses on Top Bar Hive design and includes Phil Chandler's Barefoot Beekeeping book. You are required to pass a test and attend a hands-on class in Spring to receive the Beepod Certificate for Beekeeping.
