We need your help with some new tech

bar input data

A screenshot from the bar tracking input form in the application. This data will automatically be catalogued and each season your honeybee colony data will be compared with other honeybee colony data to help measure the health of the colony against what the ideal colony health would be in that season.

Inspection form filled out.

An example of a filled out inspection sheet. Over the course of a season, a beekeeper will fill out one of these paper forms to make sure they are tracking the necessary data to measure the health of their honeybee colony.

You asked, we listened.  Now we need your help.  We are turning the inspection forms into an application to make life easier.

Beepods Inspection App development is underway and will be ready in time for the upcoming beekeeping season.  The application’s basic functionality is to show patterns and recognize what is going on in the Beepods Beekeeping system over time as you input basic inspection data.

Imagine, for example, an app that makes it easy for inspection data input, recall and viewing without having to compare hardcopy inspection sheets.  Simply plug in each day’s inspection data and the application’s notification system let’s you know that something important is happening in the hive. Maybe there is a pattern of data that shows your bees are amping up to swarm or that your beekeeping information shows that something else is irregular in the hive and another beekeeper should be consulted to make sure that your hive is on the right track.

Either way, the Beepods Application will help us to help you.  If you need help with solving an issue in the hive or just getting in touch, this will help us access information that could help solve a challenge in your hive.

Now we need your help to make this technology even better.  We are collecting as much inspection data as possible to build the intelligence in the software.  If you have inspection sheets that you have filled out, we need them to grow our data set.  We know this will take a little work on your part, but we promise we have a reward for being a Beepods member that supplies us with this information.  You will be one of the first beta testers of the application and will help us to shape the final version with feedback.

Just send us your inspection sheets using one of the following methods.

  1. bar input data
