Bee Ready for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It marks the beginning of the holiday season, which is filled with family, fun, and, most importantly, food.

Last year, we shared a few recipes for some holiday goodies that all used honey. This year, we decided to put a fun spin on a full traditional Thanksgiving meal by gathering some honey-themed recipes. From appetizers to the main course to dessert, we’ve got it all covered.

Before Dinner Delights:

Cheese Plate

A cheese and sausage plate is a classic before-dinner appetizer. Dress yours up with some honeycomb, and check out this article from seriouseats.com that discusses what cheeses pair well with honey.

Veggie Platter

Add some yum to your pre-dinner veggie platter with this easy 3-ingredient honey mustard dip from cupcakesandkalechips.com

The Main Event:

Honey-Glazed Turkey

This sweet and spicy recipe from Taste of Home is absolutely fantastic, and even includes a recipe for stuffing. This recipe would also work great with ham!

Honey-Glazed Sprouts

This recipe is both healthy and delicious!

Honey Cranberry Relish

Try out this sweet twist on the traditional Thanksgiving cranberries!

Honey Oat Rolls

Modify the recipe for this delicious honey oat bread by forming dough into rolls and baking for 15-20 minutes.

Honey Pumpkin Pie

A delicious twist on the classic pumpkin pie!

Hot Toddy

This great warming drink is perfect for sipping while sitting around the table after dinner.

Apple Cider

My very favorite fall drink! It’s sweet and spicy, and great for warming up on these chilly fall days.

Thanksgiving is all about getting together with family and eating delicious food, so why not combine that with your passion for saving bees and throw some honey into the mix? With these recipes, you can have a full spread of bee-themed foods that everyone at the table will enjoy! The best part about all of these recipes is that they don’t just work for Thanksgiving – they’re great for the whole holiday season!
